Uncle Eddie,
If i could build a stairway,
If i could build a lane,
Id walk right up to heaven
And bring you home again,
you were such a funny person, made ma laugh everytime i saw you,
You were the life and soul of parties singing and dancing away, always got everyone up an dancing and showing us all how to have a good time :D wether it be watching you play the spoons you always had something to make us smile, you were taken away from us so sadly but now your sleeping tight an watching down on us all,
R.I.P Uncle love you lots x sleep tight goodnight & godbless x Keri X
I.Love.You.
Grandad...Its been so long now since you left us and still, I find it hard too get used too the fact your gone forever. you were the person who knew exactly how too turn my frown too a smile again in the matter of seconds and now your not here to do that. when I go too nans I think about you and miss you not being there and feel a tear in my eye, but I keep it in. I try too stay strong Grandad but sometimes I cant and I have too let my tears out. I know crying wont bring you back or change anything but its the only thing I can do. there is not a day that goes by that I dont think about you. I hope your proud of me and are happy too say "thats my grandaughter". its time for me to go now, please dont ever forget about me. your ALWAYS in my heart. I LOVE YOU GRANDAD!!!!! see you in heaven someday. Loads of love Chloe xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Uncle Eddie!! x
Just wanted to say.. i still miss you more than ever.. and will never ever forget about you.. I love you xxx
Grandad, i wrote this poem as a reminder that although you've been gone over two years there isn't a day that goes by that i dont think of you, and this is just to say, your always on my mind, From Laura. ♥
Without a doubt.
Everyday I wonder why,
They took you up into the sky.
I never got to say goodbye,
Before you got your wings and learned to fly.
I never got to hear your voice once more,
And to say the things I can’t anymore.
I never got to give you a kiss,
Before you made your final wish.
I never got to tell you that I love you,
Before you disappeared into the sky so blue.
And it hasn’t been the same since that day,
That awful day they took you away.
And all that I want to say,
Is that I think if you every day.
Before I sleep every night
You’re that star that shines so bright.
And it’s safe to say you are the best,
Far better than all the rest.
You’re the most amazing granddad,
That anyone has ever had.
And one last thing before I go,
There’s something I want you to know.
What this is all really about,
I love you without a doubt.
RIP Grandad.
I LOVE YOU ♥
One Little Candle
By Carol Dunn
It’s just one little candle
One tiny flickering light
A challenge to the darkness
A small beacon in the night.
It could be just a gentle touch
A reminder that you’re there
Or a warm, compassionate hug
That shows you understand and care.
Sometimes it only takes your smile
To encourage and uplift
And should that smile lead to laughter
You’ve shared a special gift.
There’s comfort in shared silence
Or in a softly spoken word
Or in taking time to listen
To feelings that must be heard.
Yes, it’s just one little candle
Softly glowing in the night
But it can overcome the darkness
If it will only share it’s light.
Just one candle at a time
Each one giving from its heart
Reaching out to those nearby
Asking them to do their part.
To make sure the light keeps growing
Reaching out to those in sorrow
Offering comfort, warmth and hope
Strength and courage for tomorrow.

Magic Of A Rainbow
I'll never see a rainbow
That I won't think of you;
Though days seem bleak and dreary
The sun is shining through.
A symbol of God's love fulfilled
In beauty, hope and grace;
A rainbow is a mirror
Reflecting His own face.
It arches o'er the mountains
With Heaven its domain;
Its brilliant colors wakened by
The grayness and the rain.
Now may I see the rainbows sent
To ease my broken heart,
Promising His healing love,
Shine through when teardrops start.
Miraculous, magical rainbows,
Blessing the sadness with peace;
God gently smiling and touching,
Bidding the sadness cease.

♥ From Water Bug to Dragonfly ♥
(Tessa Wilkinson)
The bottom of the pond is muddy and dark
There is fear of the unknown
There is loneliness as things change
There is the desperation of being left behind
Not knowing, not understanding
Watching and waiting
Then the journey comes
Up the stem
What waits beyond?
Sunlight
Freedom
Dancing together in joy with those who went before
And who will come after.

♥ I Believe ♥
(Written By Skip Ewing and Donny Keyes Copyright 2002)
(Song performed by Diamond Rio)
Every now and then
Soft as breath upon my skin
I feel you come back again
And it's like you haven't been gone
A moment from my side
Like the tears were never cried
Like the hands of time are holding you and me
And with all my heart I'm sure
We're closer than we ever were
I don't have to hear or see
I've got all the proof I need
There are more than angels watching over me
I believe, I believe
That when you die your life goes on
It doesn't end here when you're gone
Every soul is filled with light
It never ends and if I'm right
Our love can even reach across eternity
I believe, I believe
Forever you're a part of me
Forever in the heart of me
I will hold you even longer if I can
The people who don't see the most
Say that I believe in ghosts
And if that makes me crazy
Then I am
'Cause I believe, oh I believe
There are more than angels watching over me
I believe, oh I believe
Every now and then
Soft as breath upon my skin
I feel you come back again
And I believe
'Cause I believe, oh I believe.

☼ The Sea and the Beach ☼
(Tessa Wilkinson)
The sea seems to illustrate pain and sorrow so well
It comes in and goes out
For a while it is there, overwhelming, covering everything
Then slowly the tide turns and it withdraws
For a while we can see the beauty of the shells, the seaweed
We can rejoice in the patterns in the sand
We can feel the corrugated ripples under our feet
Alive to what is around, and beyond
But then the tide turns and again it is all washed away, all overwhelmed
We feel like the crashing of the waves on rocks
Raw and out of control
Full of anger and rage
Battered and bruised
Tossed about like flotsam floating wherever we are thrown
There are so many questions. Why now? Why him?
But no answers
Then the sea calms and gently the waves lap the rocks
We are soothed and the inner turmoil is calmed
In time we can learn to move up the beach as the tide comes in
Out of its reach
Not to be overwhelmed
The pain is still there, but in control
We can recognise the pain
Revisiting the sadness
Acknowledging how much the person is missed
We learn to turn away and look to the future
Knowing the person will always be part of us
Always loved and always remembered

~ Immeasurable (by Sean Ashcroft) ~
Laughter will still sound,
even though you’re gone.
But the decibels will dip,
with some smiles, painted on.
Hopes will still soar,
dreams float on high.
But the altitude will drop,
as will the supply.
Passion will still drive us,
desire wave us off.
But the revs will decline
and the engine might cough.
Time will be bejewelled,
lives lit by waltzing light.
But the carats will diminish,
its brilliance a lesser sight.
Yet memories have no volume,
love no mass nor weight.
These will broaden, widen, deepen,
a true measure of something great.

~ Life Beyond ~
Let them go, but not completely.
Hold on to them, but not too tightly.
Love them as you know you will,
as you always have.
Rejoice that they are well, the only difference
now is that you cannot see them,
But you feel them still and they will always be with you.
The spirit does not die as the body dies
and Love is of the spirit.
Nothing you have experienced together can be taken from you.
And your loved one shall be eternally yours in that love.
Weep not too long, that they may also cry,
But rejoice in their life and in yours also.
Let yours continue to be a celebration of all life; of your shared love,
Knowing that God holds you both in the palm of his hand
And in loving you both shall reunite you.
